I have a laptop that I want to connect to a Wireless Office lan network but
still keep it connected to a wireless dsl modem at home. I have been able to
connect it to the wireless Office network but when I do, I can't connect to
the wireless DSL modem at home. Is there anyway to create 2 different
connections on the same computer without having to undo & redo settings?

Sure. My laptop with XP Home does it automagically just fine.

You MAY have a problem if you set it up with a static IP address. Set it up for
automatic IP address assignment, and set up your router at home as a DHCP
server.
