Wireless network disconnects

I recently installed a wireless network card in my PC; the hardware seems to
work well but I keep getting disconnected. It reconnects almost right
away, but still the disconnect is enough to stop streaming content or
downloads. The signal strength is good to excellent. The SSID is set on
both the router and the receiver. WEP is off. The ACTIONTEC network is
set as a preferred network.

Any ideas would be appreciated...

Hi,

Have you tried changing the wireless channel on your wireless access point?
You may be getting interference from other 2.4GHz devices such as cordless
phones, microwaves and so on.

I tried changing the channel but it didn't make any difference. I also
tried changing the fragmentation threshold but all that did was make the
data transfer rate much slower -- sometimes non-existent.
