I just upgraded to SP2. My wireless network comes up but will dsconnect
repeatedly after a period of time. I am able to get it back by invoking
network properties and hitting OK. Any clues, as this is certainly
annoying in the middle of a download.

Check the Authentication options in your wireless network adapter's settings
and make sure that you don't have 802.1x authentication enabled. You'll
find this by right-clicking your wireless adapter in the Network Connections
box, selecting Properties, then the Authentication tab.

Thanks Richard. No the Authentication option is not enabled.

I am feeling a little foolish. I thought that the channel numbers of my
router and notebook wireless adapter were the same. They were not. All
seems to be Ok now. I do not know how I got a connection in the first place.

Well, I'm glad you got it sorted out even if my advice didn't help.
