Hello say i just install a wirless card only could i pick someone else network up for free.

Technically it would be possible, but it would all depend on whether their SSID is being broadcast, and whether there is any encryption on the signal being generated.

Is this a hypothetic case, or have you actually picked up someone else's signal?
