wireless network card

I have a problem with my dlink wireless network card .. I just got a
wireless A/V Sender and I find the wireless network card causes _some_
interference.. I notice if I put the router and card on channel 11 and the
sender on channel 1 then once the connection between the router and computer
has been established there is no interference but every now and then
(basically about every minute or so) there is a loud bit of static on the
A/V sender (this disappears if my computer is off) .. I'm guessing it's the
wireless card sending a scan out to check for networks..
is there a way to disable this!?

In addition my Acer Laptop with WIFI causes NO interference at all!! even
when I put it directly next to the A/V sender

any ideas!?

Thanks,

Sean
