Wireless mice conflict

I am using a dektop PC with Microsoft Optical Desktop (Wireless) and a laptop
PC with Microsoft Notebook Optical mouse(Wireless) .
Both computers use Win XP with all the latest updates.
The problem is that the signals of the mice interfere one another which
causes the mouse pointers to "jump" on the screens. Also on the desktop pc I
get a message that the battery of the mouse is very low (even when the
batteries are brand new!).
Is there a way to adjust the working frequency of the mice and solve the
problem?
Thanks!

Read the instructions on changing the mouse frequency.. follow the procedure
on just ONE of them..
