Wireless Link - No Action

When I click on Wireless Link in the Control panel, nothing happens. I have
an IRDA USB device installed. In Device Manager it indicates it's working and
enabled properly. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, but no difference. I can
see the blinking light on the IRDA device blink so I know it is on.

Also I have ActiveSync and my PDA is synchronized properly via the USB
cradle connection. I notice that when I brought the PDA near the IRDA device,
the PC found new hardware and installed it - IR Modem. However it won't
synchronize via ActiveSync. So the PC is receiving some info via the IRDA,
but no connection. Previously the Wireless Link Icon when click on it would
open, but no longer. I've even tried disabling the Windows Firewall, but all
make no difference.
