I have a working (properly installed driver) integrated irDA port, i
see "Wireless Link" icon in control panel, but if i click on it,
nothing opens. No alerts and no error messages, just nothing opens.

I use Windows XP Pro SP2.

Why? I also recognized my mobile phone as "Classic Mobile Phone", i can
comminucate but nothing happens when i click "Wireless Link" icon in
"Control Panel".
What should i do?

I have Administrator rights...Services are working OK.

Please help.

I have the exact same problem
- I have two IR adapter on my machine - that were working OK
- Both appear in the device manager as "working properly"
- The Wireless Link in control panel does not open
- IR does not respond in any way
- If I try to force a connection I gtet a message that "there is no IR
adapter installed"
Servuice seem to be OK.

So, is there a fix or hotfix that can be downloaded.

"Wireless Link" appears in control panel , but the icon does not
launch. When i double-click, nothing happens, no errors, no dialog
boxes.

Also there is no infrared icon on the system taskbar.

If there is a patch, please mail to: (e-mail address removed)

Regards.

IBM thinkpad a20m that has the same problem.
Nokia phone tools also claims I don't have an infrared port.
