I have a home network set up through a wireless router. The router is
connected to my PC with XP, and I have a laptop running Vista. When I try to
connect to my home network manually, I get an error message that says "could
not connect due to a timeout". If I just leave things alone, the laptop will
eventually connect on its own, but can anyone tell me how to resolve this
error?

Get the latest update for Vista and latest driver for wireless adapter, then
install it. Then try again.. Might be the software bug..
