Wireless Clients & Logon Scripts

Hi

I have a number of Laptop clients using wireless connections to the Domain,
the logon scripts and or group polcy do not get applied if the user logs into
the machines as soon as it starts as the wireless network has not started
completely if you wait and then logon all works ok. Is there a way round this
behaviour appart from waiting to logon? If the same Laptop is connected via a
standard LAN connectionevery thing works fine.

Thanks Mike

Assuming these are XP machines (I can't speak for Vista), using Group Policy...

Under Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Logon, enable
the "Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon".

By default, WinXP does not wait for the network to fully initialze, unlike
Win2000.

NOTE: Because of the wireless issue, after making the change to your Group
Policy it may not be applied to the machines (for the very reason you noted)
until you run gpupdate from a cmd prompt - in any case, verify the change
with RSoP.msc.
