Wireless ad-hoc connection not work

XP home, with a wireless Asus 138g card, and a Ipaq HP4150 with WIFI. The mXP
is also connected with a NIC to an ADSL router.
I see three "network adapters, NIC, Wireless and bridge""
With settings SSID on both computers the same, at first without WEP I can
not use internet explorer on the Ipaq. Iper.exe on the Ipas says connection
is ok, I see a 192.x.x.x IP adres for the Ipaq, ans also XP says connection
is excellent. But IE, no way! Also with WEP on i see no results.
Can anyone help me with this?

Don't enable WEP until everything else is working.

The XP computer's wired and wireless network connections are bridged,
which is how the Ipaq is able to get a 192.168.x.x IP address. Some
network adapters don't work properly when they're part of a network
bridge. Try the fix shown here:

Bridge May Not Work With a Non-Promiscuous Mode Network Adapter
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=302348

If that doesn't fix the problem, I recommend deleting the network
bridge and sharing the XP computer's Internet connection with the
Ipaq. Right-click and delete the network bridge, then configure XP as
an ICS host as shown here:

Windows XP Internet Connection Sharing
http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/xp_ics/

Tell it to share the connection that uses the NIC. If it asks what
connection to use for the home network, tell it to use the wireless
connection.

A better solution in the long run, especially if you'll ever add
another computer to the network, would be to replace the wired ADSL
router with a wireless one and create an Infrastructure network.
