wirefree and confused

Hi

I am trying to hook up two computers on sharing a
broadband connection. I have two wirefree on the
machines and have done all of the wizards. I am able to
share files, send stuff to the printer etc but what I am
unable to do is connect to the internet or email. I have
switched off the firewall on both of the computers and
tried to connect and it still is not happening. I really
don't know where to go from here as I can normally get
mo0st thngs going. I feel like throwing the towel in and
selling the laptop as without the internet connection I
cannot do the work that I wanted to do on it. Please
help!!!!!!!

Hi there,

I replied to your other post about this, but it's
probably lost in the swarm of posts since then.

Make sure that you have Internet Connection Sharing
activated on the computer that is conencted to the
internet. There's a post just before this one on how to
set up ICS.

Thanks for that. I can't seem to find the post you were
on about. I do have an internet share as where the
connection is there is a hand underneath that says
sharing so I don't think that it what it is. I have
someone coming round to check the equipment incase that
is faulty, other than that I don't know what to do
