Wired vs Wireless NIC conflict

Hi

I'm sure I'm missing something obvious here, but I'm out of ideas. I'd
appreciate any input on this one, thanks.

I'm running a normal cabled network for file sharing and I planned to
add second wireless NICs in each machine to access the ADSL modem
wirelessly. The config is

Wired: PCs -> Surecom switch
Wireless: PCs -> Netgear G602 -> Netcomm NB1300+4 -> ADSL

The wired PCs are mostly Realtek 81xx chipsets at 100mbit and the
wireless PCs are either MSI, Surecom or Dlink - all 54g. I also have a
Mac PowerBook with 100mbit wired and 54g wireless.

The issue is that with either the wired or the wireless NICs active
individually, everything is fine - I get great file transfer speed on
either one. But if I have both active, transfer speed almost stops. It
appears that data is going out on the wired NIC, but coming back on the
wireless. No such problems occur on my Mac.

I'm guessing somehow that I need to do some sort of routing setup, but
this is beyond my limited networking capabilities. My network skills at
this level are limited, so any advice needs to be fairly basic, thanks.

Oops, split onto separate networks, no further problems. What was I
thinking?
