Wipe Free Space

I want to wipe the Free Space on my Hard Disk (using Norton Utilities). You don't appear to be able to do this with Windows XP, but you can apparently using Windows 98 or ME.

Can anybody tell me how I can do this?

Jon - I downloaded program from the site you suggested and after a few minutes to suss it out, I used it and it wiped the free space exactly as I wanted - Thanks a lot - Rob

Ross - Jon knew exactly what I wanted and gave me the information that enabled me to wipe the free space. Why did you think my question was stupid? Would be interested if you could explain. (wonder if he will?) - Rob
