Wiondows Update

I inadvertently deleted the Windows Update software.

Can anyone tell me where I can find it to redownload it
without reinstalling the entire XP system?

Deleted the software? How? If you go to IE, tools, windows update, does it
not work? It should download what it needs....

How did you delete it? Are you sure you just didn't delete the shortcut? If
you just deleted the shortcut, recreate it and name it Windows Update. For
the Target path, enter

%SystemRoot%\system32\wupdmgr.exe

for the Start in: path enter

%HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH%

you.
