Where is winzip located ? For some reason my XP is using UZ ( ultraZip ? ) to
unzip almost any zip I download and I don't know how my system even got UZ.
How do I make my system use Winzip as the default ?

Try http://www.winzip.com/ after you d/l it you s/b ok.
UZ may be the same thing. XP comes w/an unzip program as part of the OS.
I didn't know that when I d/l'ed Winzip. It was just I had been using it for
yrs.

Winzip is located wherever you installed it. It's not a native tool in
XP. XP does have a built in ZIP facility, though.

It sounds like Ultra Zip stole Winzip's file associations. One easy way to
get them back would be to install winzip again.

Why re-install?

Just start Winzip and go into Options/Configuration/System
Check the box for Winzip to be associated with archives.

so where is this ultrazip located, and what is the actual name of the
program's file?

Nevermind, found it in another post, the file is called zipfldr.dll, in
Windows System32 directory.
