WinZip install via GP

Hi there, anybody have any experience with installing
WinZip via GP? I've been successful with the rest of the
software that I use on our network (W2K domain w/ W2K sp4
workstations), but an earlier attempt to repackage WinZip
(a la Veritas WinINSTALL LE) did not work very well.

I read an article about creating a .ZAP file to Publish
the software, but I am looking to assign it to the
computers so that my users don't have to do anything with
it (school environment, non-savvy users).

Any suggestions? Thanks

What happend when you used LE?
Some of the common problems I have seen with WinZip is the Windows
Installer keeps re-installing the package each time the app is
launched. This is the MSI self-healing in action.

There is a simple solution. The event viewer will log the component
that has failed and caused the re-install. Make a note of the
component GUID. Open the MSI in the LE console, and expand the
package to the GUID level (Green Dots followed by the GUID). Highligh
the troubled GUID, and remove the "KeyPath" entry from the summary
tab.
