let me know diffrence between winxp 64bit edition and
winxp 32bit edition
.

Hi!
The 64-bit versions will only work on Intel Itanium
based hardware.Microsoft has also launched a beta version
of its Windows XP operating system that supports AMD's
new 64-bit Athlon on the desktop and the chip-maker's
Opteron 64-bit processor on workstations and servers.
The 32-bit versions will work on all
x86 compatible hardware (such a Pentium III, 4, etc).

Almost certainly you have the 32-bit edition. Almost anybody who
has to ask the question is running the 32-bit version. The 64-bit
version requires special hardware. It and the hardware have come
down in price, but are still substantially more expensive than
the standard consumer PCs you see around. Very few home users are
using it.

But if you want to check to be sure, enter WINVER at the Start |
Run line.
