Hello all, i am trying to track down the LLTD responder for WinXP, so it can
be properly hooked into Vista's network map.
I have seen people say it is on connect.microsoft.com, but i cant find it. I
looked in the Windows Network Developer Platform
connect, but i dont see any others that seem like they would house it.

Can anyone give me a direct link to the connect page (or any other page)
where i can get this thing?

Thanks in advance,
- Arthur Dent.

If your in the "Windows Vista, Longhorn Server and IE7 Beta" program its
under the downloads section on the connect site. The download is dated
7/12/2006 and labeled "LLTD Responder for XP". You can filter on "builds" to
find it faster...

If i go to the http://connect.microsoft.com homepage, login, and click on
Available Connections in the little left menu thing, i dont even see that.
I signed up for the Vista B2 and RC1 programs and received the discs,
installed and activated them.
Where is that connection, to subscribe to it?

ThanksIA!

Arthur;
Available Connections" are programs you can ask to participate.
What programs are listed when you click "My Participation"?
If you have nothing and do not see Vista there, to are not a Technical Beta
tester.
Getting the discs from Microsoft or another source does not make you a Beta
tester.
In stead most people in these public newsgroups are participants in the
Customer Preview Program.
The CPP and Technical Beta are to different programs with different purposes
and are sometimes confused.

You have to be in the technical Beta for access to the resources on
Microsoft Connect.

Alright... well, thanks to everyone for the information. I guess ill just
wait till Vista goes gold then.
Thanks !!

Just a word of warning - I installed LLTD on my XP machine (using this
Windows Update:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...1D-EE46-481E-BA11-37F485FA34EA&displaylang=en
) and it caused my slave SATA seagate hard drive to vanish (although I could
still access it in safe mode.) I'm using XP Media Center 2005 edition. As
soon as I uninstalled the LLTD update, my second hard drive reappeared...
