WinXP Pro and phantom drive.

Prior to removing multiple partitions from my hard drive, the CD drive was
identified as "I". The CD drive is now identified as "D". Programs
installed using the CD drive prior to re-partitioning cannot be used, removed
or reinstalled as the system looks for the non-existant drive "I". I have
updated the Register for one particular program where reference was made to
drive "I" but still cannot run, remove or reinstall the program. The error
message shown is "Invalid Drive I". Has anyone a solution?

I am new to the newsgroup. I am trying to post a new question, but when I
click the new button, nothing happens. I just hear a click. The only button
that is working is the reply button, which is why I had to post this here.
Does anyone know how to get a new question posted, if the "New" button does
not work? Neither the new question, nor the new comment, is working.

Thanks!
