WinXP loses connection

I have a wireless-G connection to my laptop. After boot
the connection stays up maybe 2 minutes then just stops.
The information is that it can still see the router and
the wireless connection is at 54 Mbps, but I cannot see
the internet. The Linksys site claims that I need to
disable 802.1x authentication, but there is no
Authentication tab on my Network Connections/Properties.
Any other ideas?

linksys is correct, try this:
Click Start/control panel/network connections/wireless
connection
Then click "advanced.
Select the SSID of your wireless connection and click
advanced.
You should have an "Authentication" TAB right there at
the top.
Disable the 802.1x authentication (you may have to enable
wep first to be able to unselect the athentication. Don't
forget to disable wep before hitting ok.

Good try - thanks, BUT,
There is no Authentication tab no matter what I do.
The good news is that it stays connected for quite a while, but eventually
invisibly disconnects from the Internet leaving the wireless LAN connection
working.
I tried changing WPA/TKPI to WEP first, but still no Authentication Tab.

Any other ideas?
