I'm planning on installing XP-Pro on a new system. I've used 98SE
previously. Does XP install Outlook Express by default? Can you get it to
not install OE? I discovered how to avoid installing OE in Windows 98SE
(don't install the address book and it will not install OE). I don't need
OE, I'd rather not have it or the address book since I use a completely
different email client (Eudora). Just wanted to avoid even having OE on my
system if possible. Thanks.

Outlook Express is bundled as an "integral" component of WinXP.
It cannot be removed from the OS.

Yes, and I was also told this about Windows 98SE, and guess what, you don't
have to install OE and it works just fine.
