I have a PC with WinXP Home with 1 GB memory.
I would like to put 1 GB more.
WinXp Home can manege 2 GB?

Yes it can. But can your computer handle it. That's the question. And the answer is in the manual that came with the computer. Although it sounds like a total waste of money.
