WinXP Font Size....need to change ?

Bubey

I have just gotten a new laptop with WinXp
installed, having moved up from good ole
Win98SE. The problem I'm having is the
Font size on everything, extremely small.
Is this part of WinXP or something maybe
the hardware maker did. Either way, I
can't read it without getting eye strain. How
do I make the font larger, like what I had on
Win98.......TNX

1. Try to decrease your screen resolution:

I'm over 40 and I've got the same problem. Right click on your
desktop. Go to Properties. Open the Settings > Advanced tab. Under
DPI Setting, set it to LARGE (125%). Click OK.

Then bring up the Properties box again. Go to Appearance > Advanced.
Look in the box for things like Active Title Bar and some others --
anythnig that has a font on it. Apply a nice readable font (I like
Verdana). Apply a decent size (I like 9-11). Hit OK.

That should increase the font size on most of your desktop items, as
well as in any applications that use the desktop settings.

The other poster suggested reducing your screen resolution. I do that
for some of my old games, but for regular work it just makes
everything look blurry.

Good luck.

Awaiting your responses with baited breath, I remain, yours truly,

LOL. I'm glad it worked. I was up to my gills ... but finally got an
oxygen transfer after you posted. :)
