WinXP cannot find file association for Winword.exe

Those are the types of error messages that I am getting
whenever I try to start a program.

The last sane thing I remembered try to do was update
with SP1 and it didn't work, only partial and machine
froze.

ANy suggestions?
 
GREAT! I visited the site and found the files. Hopefully
when I go home tonight I can get them to work.

Seems the problem is fixing the .exe association (and
others). Would I be able to use the fix?
 
Yes, Peter, you should be able to. If not, post back, and there are other
methods that can be used.
