Does anyone know of an "alarm" utility which will play a selected sound file (.wav, .mid,
whatever)? I'd like it to be a count-down alarm, but setting a given time of day would be
acceptable.

If this is the wrong NG, please let me know where I should be asking this question.

Hello,

The Microsoft Plus! Digital Media Edition has a pretty nice Alarm clock
utility and a sleep timer utility which plays whatever files you want from
your computer, however if you don't want to but it for about 15 USD I think
you are better of getting the free versions of applications like this on the
internet. So just Google it, I'm sure there are many other similar
applications out there.

requirement.
