Hi,

I formatted my hard drive and heard you can activate windows XP after
reinstalling by recopying that one *.dbl file in the
C:\Windows\System32 folder. I did it from Safemode with command line,
but when I restart it still asks me to activate. How do I activate with
this method?

When you reformat your drive and reinstall
Windows XP, you can only activate using
the conventional activation procedure.

You heard wrong. That method works only under a very limited set of
circumstances.

You can't. Activate in the normal manner.
