There is a preview edition of that OS already out. It can be freely
downloaded, but it will expire in 360 days. Of course, it's beta
software and totally unsupported by MS (though I believe there is a
newsgroup for it).

The version for the Intel Itanium 64-bit chip has been out for
several months.

The version for AMD chips has just begun its public beta. No date
has been announced for its release. How long it will take depends
on what bugs the beta finds and how long they take to fix.
