WinUpdate Site Sleepin or What?

When go to WinUpdates, nothing happens and just says
"Checking For Lastest Updates, blah, blah, blah". Also
"View Installation History" and "Restore Hidden Update"
greyed out. Occurred after SP2 installed on XP Pro.
Have tried to solve issue using several various WinUpdate
troubleshooting links and came up nil. Using NAV/NIS 2003
and Windows Firewall turned off. AutoUpdates set to Notify Me.
Appropriate spyware completed and no other problems as of
yet with system. Any other ideas as to *frozen* WinUpdate site
appreciated.

Just did a clean install and "before" installing SP2, went to WindowsUpdate
and message came up about download an update for WinUpdates site which
automatically did. Reinstalled SP2 and WinUpdate site now ok.

Didn't get message 'bout downloading update for WinUpdate site "after"
installed SP2 previously, nor didn't find any such info when troubleshooting
WinUpdate problems. Assume the non-updated site reason why it woudn't
do anything and some options greyed out. Perhaps this info might help
others if have similiar issue.
