Search for "*.*" (no quotes) (star dot star)
Many times there can be gigantic files that are not necessary, like some
logs, ets.

Because there are large files or lots of small ones. Find which directory
is taking up all that space and delete the files if you are sure that you
can. If you're not sure, report back about the location and names of these
files for confirmation.
