WINMM.DLL NOT A VALID WINDOWS IMAGE

D

DUNCAN

When the computer is switched, before the Windows XP
professional starts loading, I get a message that
says "Hit F12 if you want to boot from the network"
followed by "Press F1 to resume". The computer will only
load Windows if I hot F1. Windows loads and I get a
series of messages (about 12) saying "The application or
dll C:\windows\system32\winmm.dll is not a valid windows
image. Please check this against your installation
diskette."

I cannot load any application and run programns due to
this error. How can I solve this?
