WinMgmt.exe error

I made the mistake of downloading the critical updates
package onto my bosses fully loaded hp OmniBook XE3
Laptop. I then installed the Blaster Worm Patch. The
following Program Error message now pops up every 60
seconds.
"WinMgmt.exe has generated errors and will be closed by
Windows. You will need to restart the program."
Even after I reboot (which I have done several times) the
message continues to pop up every 60 seconds. My only
choice is to click OK and it goes away for 60 seconds. If
I ignore it it keeps popping up and I end up with multiple
messages...Is there any way I can fix this without losing
the information (programs and data)?
Can anyone help? Please advise.

I'm having the same error message problem which started
after I loaded Nortn Anti Virus SoftwareIf you find a
solution I'd appreciate it if you would pass along the

I had the error at one point i found that if you goto a
command prompt and type "winmgmt /clearapad" this will
take care of this error if not type"winmgmt /kill" this
will stop if from comming up every 60 sec, hope this helps
