I have 1 contact that receives a winmial.dat file as an attachment. I have a
total of 15 people who I send attachments to that use AOL and this 1 contact
is the only person who gets the winmail.dat instead of hte actual attachment.
I have made every change I can find listed and it still isn't working. Also
I am the only person using excahnge in the office that he has this issue
with. Everyone else who sends files to him (or even forwards my email) he
gets fine. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You must not send in Rich Text..only plain text or html, or those not using
Outlook will not get the attachment.

Open the record of that contact and double-click the e-mail address. You
should see an "E-mail Properties" dialogue. Examine the "Internet format"
drop-down at the bottom. It should say "Let Outlook decide the best sending
format".
