This isn't related to my issues (at least not from what I've read). (pls
read post from 12/26 from me).
Also, this PC (like all of mine) run LiveUpdate (religously) the first time
(per day) when they hit the internet. AV definitions were current, all the
way up to 12/25. Plus a remote scan of the entire PC found nothing (from a
server running the Corporate Edition with all updates).

The script that Carey referred you to is to remove left over entries in the
Registry from removing a different virus. Symtantec's removal instructions
for your virus are here.
