I tried to install the most current service pack and I
kept getting the blue screen, so I did a repair with the
install disk. Now i get a message about a damaged or
missing winlogon.exe file that and the boot sequence
keeps recycling. Any info on how to repair would be
greatly appreciated.

Try booting into "Safe Mode", or into "Last good configuration".
