winlogon.exe has generated errors.....

After removing Blaster and Welchia from my windows 2000
pc, I tried to load windows sp2 (since there seems to be
issues with sp4)so that I could load the Blaster
vulnerability patch. Every time I try, I get part way thru
and I get "Winlogon.exe has generated errors....." and the
pc re-boots. I am also occasionally getting the
message "svchost.exe has generated errors....." but it
does not cause a re-boot.Have ran the removal tools and
norton is up-to-date. Any ideas? Thank you.
