The Blaster worm fiasco has now resulted in the
winlogin.exe file to be missing on my system. Could
someone out there lead me through the process of fixing
this issue once and for all?

If you're seeing an error message with regard to winlogin (rather than
winlogon), then this may be another virus.

winlogin.exe is usually related to a virus (its name eludes me at the
moment). However, winlogon.exe (note the difference!) is a standard windows
file, and probably isn't a virus or infected with one. I suggest that you
update your virus definitions and run a complete scan of your system.
