Winint.exe error message at shutdown.

When trying to shutdown in win XP I get error message
saying XP cant shutdown because a program is closing. If I
keep clicking the close button on the error window I soon
get a end program now box. Close that ane a few more
clicks and xp shutsdown. Any ideas

you look for appplication wrror log.
scan your system with latest virus definitioned antivirus
software.
