WinFX SDK for WPF

Guest

Hi,

If I develop an application on WinFX using WPF (Presentation Layer) SDKs,
will the application still run on versions of Vista on which Media Centre
functionalities are not present like home basic?

If yes, does that mean WPF is available on all versions of Vista immaterial
of whether it has MC functionalities or not?

If no (the application won't run on home basic), does that mean there are
different set (versions) of SDKs for WinFX for developing applications for
different versions of Vista, OR simply we have to choose APIs in cotext to
the target platform?

Thanks

Yep - WPF will be available to all versions of Vista - not sure about Vista
Starter though... that seems to be "in the shadows" a bit at the moment.

Nah there same SDK's still. Just don't use the specific API's that target
the Media Center bit... I should have thought. I'm not a huge developer - I
can write simple things and haven't really sat down and gotten dirty with
WPF yet, but that's how I'm imagining it )
