I restored windowsXp on my desktop and now it trys to load (2) different ones
at begining. I have to choose one or the other and the windows that is
working is on my D: drive and only has very little space left. But my C:
drive has 54.3 gb. I want to reload windows xp on C: and not D: and I don't
care if I have to reforemat the hard drive and loose all, have most of it on
disk.
But as it is I can not run Office or other programs that I need at home to
prepare estimates for my work . Please help...Thanks

When using the OS on C drive format D drive. You can do this by

open my computer, then right click on d drive and select format.

If you still get prompted for which OS to use when starting, then start>run
and type

msconfig

select Boot.ini, then click "Check all Boot Paths"

Good Luck

Hi,

Boot your WinXP CD, start the installation. After you get the license
screen, you will have an option to repair an existing installation. Choose
the C: installation, and allow setup to run. When completed, you can either
delete the installation on D, or format that drive. Clear boot.ini by
clicking start/run, type msconfig and click ok. Go to the boot.ini tab,
click the button to "check all boot paths", it should offer to remove any
invalid ones.
