Hey all,

Is there anyway to get an 'automated logon' for Windows XP Pro? I
currently have it on only my home machine (1 user), and it just gets
really annoying.

I am using Pro at home, because our uni is running a MSDN Academic
Alliance thing, where we can get copies of MS software for nothing
(WinXP Pro, VS.NET 2003 Pro, etc). Otherwise, I would have gone with
Home Edition (*shudder*).

tweakui, you can change many things on your computer
using this tweak, as well as login automatically

Hi Daniel,

1. Go to Start/Run and type in: control userpasswords2 and press ok.

2. On the Users tab, clear the Users Must Enter A User Name And Password To
Use This Computer check box and then click OK.

3. In the Automatically Log On dialog box that appears, type the user name
and password for the account you want to be logged on each time you start
your computer.

Tip:

Add Control UserPasswords2 to the Control Panel (Line 1)

Or you can use TweakUI for XP: TweakUI/Logon/Autologon
