Windowsupdate wants to install same updates again

Hi there,

Each time I start Windows, windowsupdate prompts me to
install the same updates. When installing and restarting,
there are no messages so no clue if anything goes wrong
but it looks like some setting is't updated and the next
time I start my PC I have to install them again.
Any ideas?

There is a newsgroup specifically for Windows Update
issues microsoft.public.windowsupdate
The first thing those in that newsgroup will likely ask
is whether you have yet followed advise in the WU
troubleshooting page
