I just ran the beta live scanner for Windows and it
wiped out my mailbox files. It found viruses in my
inbox and in my sent mail, so it simply deleted the
entire contents of both folders. Only the headers for
5700 messages remain in my inbox with all contents
disappeared. I ran a search of the hard drive, but the
files are gone. There should be a warning to close
mail programs during the scan -- or would it wipe out
entire folders anyway? It seems awfully crude.
