Windows2000 Zip Capability

Does windows 2000 have the capability to unzip zipped
files? Zipped files in my email are coming in with a boxed-
in "X" in the subject and when clicked on to open go
automatically to excel. When the Excel program opens I get
this message: "This file is not in a recognizable format."
Anyone know what is happening? Why? How can I correct?

You need to install an Unzip program, eg Winzip:
