with microsoft closing all us and soon all north american
support centers and moving all support to india and all
programming to india and the corresponding loss of tens
of thousands of american jobs and the savings for
microsoft and convergys(the worlds largest offshoring
company).

bill gates today announced he would be passing the
savings along to the consumers and not just keep all the
profits for himself.

the next windows longhorn will retail for $19 a copy and
office will retail for $29 a copy.

here is the direct qoute from bill." I did not just put
thirty thousand americans out of work to fatten my
wallet, all americans will share in the savings I have
achieved by putting americans out of work,You guys didnt
think I would just keep all the money and not reduce the
charges for my products did you?"

Believe it when it "really" occurs! I would not believe in this until the
"pricing" is truly published!

I think it was an attempt to be funny, cute and clever. At those prices,
generic OEMs would be free.

Quick math indicates the retail price will drop $1.38 a copy due to cost
savings. :)
