I had to format my hard drive and I reloaded Windows XP
Professional on the computer. Now every time I start the
computer an icon on the task bar tells me I have 30 days
to register. When I click the icon to register, a box
pops up saying "windows already registered" an d my only
option is to click ok to exit. This comes up evry time
and it's counting down. Is there a way to re-register to
get rid of this.
 
You have 30 days to Activate, not register. These are two different things.
You must activate, it is optional to register. To activate follow screen
instructions, or click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools,
Activate Windows.
