windows xp x64 nothing works

[trouble x64]

I have Norton software, office home & student 2007, the drivers that were
downloaded from Microsoft, production software even explorer did not work
except when reinstalled from original install cd other than that nothing does
not work with 64bit ver. system : core 2 q6850 3ghz, ati hd 2600 pro, lg blu
ray dl recorder, and two gigabite ethernet controlers. Any ideas, for want
to run windows 7 64 bit when it comes out. If this any exemple what I will
be going through I may not change over.

Comparing XP x64 to Windows 7 x64 is like comparing a yugo to a Porsche,
your hardware should work just fine with 7.

Thanks David, But until 7 arives nothing works reliably on the system. I may
go back to windows 32 instead of waiting for driver fixes on 64 bit system.
