Windows XP WMI error and not being able to log in

M

Matt Freeman

I have a gateway laptop model MX6027. I cant get it to start. It looks like
it loads windows but, more often than not doesn't get to the log in screen.
It just sits there. A blue screen and a curser is all I get. When it does
let me log in I get about 6 WMI error messages. I just keep hitting close
message then averything is fine.

Has anyone experienced this before?
Can someone [please help me?

This is a video group, I suggest you search for a relevent group for WMI.
You could also do a google search on how to "disable WMI error reporting"
You could also try MS's troubleshooter:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/875605

J

Jean Rosenfeld

That is included in XP SP3.
