Windows xp will not recognize cd-r disks

Windows XP will not read or even recognize cd-r disks in
my cd-r drive. It says "insert cd now" when a blank disk
is inserted. It will recognize cd-rw disks. I have
installed 2 cdrw drives and a dvd-rw drive, all with the
same results.

Hi

Iam having a similar problem. I have been trying to copy
files to a re-writable CD. I had nearly finished copying
my website when all of a suden the CD drive could not
recognise that I had a disc in.

Keeps telling me to insert a CD even when I have.

Hope somone can help
