Windows XP Web View: How to enable without setting folder as syste

With registry tweaks, it is possible to set a custom web view in a folder as
long as the tweaks are applied. It's also possible for the web view to be
applied if the folder is set to System instead of Read Only. Is there any way
to get the folder to use desktop.ini and display a custom webview without
having to set the folder as Read Only or System?

"RevertWebViewSecurity"=dword:00000001

No. Any folder that is read only or system. That settings you mention only affects what the wizard makes the folder.

The settings I specified don't just "affects what the wizard makes the
folder". As far as I know, the wizard does not allow you to specify a custom
web view o.0 They allow you to use a web view, period. Windows XP SP2 blocks
web views that don't have a recognized hash by default.

I know there must be some way to have Windows XP use the web view settings
in desktop.ini without having to set the folder as system or read-only.

The wizard is in Windows 98.

Why do you know that. There isn't. Like the wizard it was removed in XP.

If the wizard is in Windows 98 and I posted this in the Windows XP forum and
said it was something with Windows XP, why'd you even respond with that
useless tidbit of wrong information? I know that earlier builds of Windows
had this feature, so it must be possible through a registry setting that was
removed or a file that was changed.

It's right infomation. And I responded because you just made a totally irrelevent post and I pointed out one of your settings are irrelevent and wrongly described.

You know ..., you know ...

You know nothing. I will make it simple for a moron like you. THERE IS NO GLOBAL SETTINGS.

I must say, you're a moron. The settings I posted were discovered by trial
and error. As for irrelevant posts, your first post and every subsequent
post are irrelevant. And as f ar as a "universal setting", there is probably
no such thing. However, I am sure that there are several settings, several
files that can be modified or restored from beta versions of Whistler that
DID have this feature.

Christ, why do you even bother posting here? You're an arrogant moron,
there's no worse combination than that.
